Our traditional artist John came to us from Wichita, Kansas. He has been tattooing since he apprenticed at the age of 17 in a shop in his home town. He said he remembers doing his first real tattoo and being scared but it also gave him an exhilarating feeling at the same time. John remembers his parents giving him a children’s light table art set when he was 5 and he would stay at it for hours and hours. Drawing became his absolute favorite thing in the world. Once he hit middle school and was starting to understand tattoos he, he knew what he was going to grow up and be, a Tattoo Artist.  When asked what he loved most about being a tattoo artist with the biggest grin he said the process of creating this beautiful piece that someone else is going to love and cherish for the rest of their life. He is certain that in 20 or even 30 years he will still be pushing out ink just as strong as he does today. In spare time that he’s not at the shop he loves to kick back and play some video games or even watch a good movie, or maybe practice playing his guitar.
